Technical assessment philosophy
A conventional records review checks documents against a list. Harrier assesses each asset against the transaction it belongs to — combining the technical judgement of an airline engineer with the commercial perspective of the USM and asset trading industry.
Two disciplines, one assessment
Built at the airline
Years in airline CAMO, aircraft and engine redelivery and engine shop documentation mean findings are evaluated immediately — at the desk or during a physical inspection.
Built on the trading floor
Years leading the technical side of an engine lease and USM trading business mean every finding is read for its effect on value, marketability and lease acceptance.
Principles
I
The scope follows the deal — acquisition, sale, lease, redelivery or part-out — and the requirements of the receiving party, not a generic checklist.
II
Findings are assessed as they arise, so you hear about the issues that matter while there is still time to act.
III
Open items are ranked by their impact on value and closing, so effort goes where it pays back.
IV
Recovered traceability is recovered value. We pursue the documents that make an asset easier to sell or lease.
Engagement
01
Agree the commercial objective, the receiving party’s requirements and the closing turnaround. Fixed fee per asset.
02
Technical and commercial assessment of the records, with physical inspection where the transaction requires it.
03
A prioritised Open Items List, worked with the counterparty until closed — immediate, normal or flexible turnaround.
04
A decision-ready report: final status, residual risk and recommendations for the transaction file.
Reporting standard
So your team, your counterparty and your investors can act on it without a follow-up call.
Indicative fixed fees by asset and turnaround, in under a minute.
