Review an LLP back-to-birth package with confidence.
Participants leave with the knowledge and practical tools to perform an introductory review of engine LLP back-to-birth traceability packages.
- Understand the purpose and commercial relevance of LLP back-to-birth traceability
- Identify the principal records required for an LLP review
- Read LLP terminology and life-status reporting
- Review part number and serial number continuity
- Identify installation, removal and shop-visit events
- Spot documentary gaps, discrepancies and unsupported periods
- Distinguish complete, conditional and unacceptable traceability
- Prepare structured technical findings and open-item reports

Seven modules, from fundamentals to a live case study
Module 2
Back-to-birth traceability
Continuity from manufacture to current status: birth records, installation history, operator statements, ARCs and shop-visit documentation.
Module 3
Documentary review methodology
Organising the package, LLP status sheets, cross-checking dates, cycles and positions, and building the open-items list.
Module 4
PMTS & traceability summaries
Structure of a Parts Movement Traceability Sheet, accumulated cycles, remaining-life calculation and final status presentation.
Module 5
Acceptance & rejection criteria
Complete versus conditional traceability, unsupported periods, PN/SN discrepancies, unverified cycles and missing non-incident statements.
Module 6
Regulatory & commercial expectations
FAA and EASA expectations, lessor and owner requirements, lease returns, acquisitions — and why compliance is not the same as commercial acceptability.
Module 7
Practical case study
Participants review a representative LLP package and reach an acceptance, conditional acceptance or rejection recommendation, discussed with the instructor.
